Orgy of the Damned by Slash Releasing May 2024

Guns N’ Roses lead guitar virtuoso Slash is all set to release his sixth full-length studio album “Orgy of the Damned” on 17th May 2024 via Gibson records. The album will be a tribute to blues, consisting of 12 songs, all blues classics brought into life once again.

Slash has worked with legendary musicians and singers for this collaborative project. Gary Clark Jr., Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Chris Stapleton, Dorothy, Iggy Pop, Paul Rodgers, Demi Lovato, Chris Robinson, Tash Neal, and Beth Hart are some of the big names who have worked on it.

Before releasing the entire album, Slash released his version of the Howlin’ Wolf classic “Killing Floor” feat. Brian Johnson and Steven Tyler on March 8th. On the same day, Slash announced his album release date and it was available for pre-order.

Slash comments on “Oh Well”

The lead single “Oh Well” features American country singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton on vocals. A very raw, electrified, folk-influenced take on the classic Fleetwood Mac gem, the song was written by founder Peter Green.

“So, this is the original Fleetwood Mac,” says Slash, “which was founded by Peter Green, one of the greatest singer-songwriter-guitar players. He’s less known in the public but very well known to us guitar players regarding the ’60s British blues. He’s up there with Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Mick Taylor. “I always loved this song, and it’s a great guitar riff. I jammed it with the Blues Ball back in the ’90s, and I’ve played it live here and there,” Slash added. The guitarist says he knew from the beginning that he wanted to do the song for the record.

The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival

Following the release, he will be heading out for the ‘S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival’ (the anagram stands for Solidary, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance). This North American tour will kick off on 5th July in Bonner, Montana. In a recent press release, Slash said, “The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour is a celebration of blues and rock ‘n’ roll music, and a celebration of unity and togetherness in these uncertain and divisive times. S.E.R.P.E.N.T is a vehicle to help support and uplift people and communities suffering from the injustices of racism and equal rights violations, as well as to support children adversely affected by war and poverty across the world. So, we are contributing a portion of every ticket and VIP package sold from the tour to those ends.”
