Bruce Springsteen along with former US President Barack Obama and Hollywood director Steven Spielberg, arrived in Barcelona for Springsteen’s Friday night concert. From dining in Spanish eateries to visiting the beautiful tourist places that Barcelona has to offer, the group had a memorable experience in the city.
The Obamas along with Spielberg’s wife were there to attend Springsteen concert.
The city’s Estadi Olmpic Llus Companys, last week, hosted the first show of Springsteen’s European leg of the tour!
Surprised A Restaurant Staff In Barcelona!
The staff at the Amar restaurant in Barcelona was shaken and left in awe by a surprising turn of events on Thursday, 28th April. It was when this high profile group entered unannounced in the restaurant. The Guardian said the reservation was a surprise and was only made a few hours prior. According to Chef Rafa Zafra in his interview with Spanish Radio, “They came recommended by José Andrés, who has a very close relationship with Obama.” José Andrés, the Spanish-American celebrity restaurateur “called me and told me that it was a very important table, but that we should please not say anything,” Zafra told the Spanish radio station. “And of course, I began to investigate and saw that Obama was coming, that Bruce had a concert,” he added.
Mr Zafra said that the group came tired and even had little to drink. Referring to Springsteen’s concert on Friday, Zafra said, “The one who behaved best was the one who had to work today.” He further added, “We gave them oysters, shellfish and fish from Roses, my classic – the caviar bikini – a little bit of everything… and super grateful!” The Amar Staff was also thrilled to serve their guests, with one member, Pol Perello taking it to Instagram. He shared a photo of the staff posing with their guests, saying “The pleasure this job brings you!”

Former First Lady and Spielberg’s Wife Were Also In town for the Concert
According to Reuters , the former First Lady Michelle Obama and Kate Capshaw, Spielberg’s wife, were also in town for the concert and were spotted visiting some of Barcelona’s famous tourist destinations, like the Picasso Museum and the Sagrada Familia Basilica.
The former president and Springsteen have a long-time bond that began during Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. After that, the artist performed for Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. In 2021, they also hosted the podcast Renegades: Born in the USA, which focused on themes of politics, race, and music.
