Matteo Palermo & Vitriol Project - Mr Weak

Matteo Palermo & Vitriol Project – Mr Weak | Heavily Metal

Matteo Palermo is a guitarist and singer-songwriter who has recently begun his solo career. With that in mind, Palermo has successfully recorded and released five singles and an EP. His latest work comes along as a part of his latest project entitled Vitriol Project. Palermo is making his way through the ranks by promoting his music at live shows and everywhere he goes.

Mr Weak is Palermo’s latest track and the debut single for Vitriol Project. The track features his relaxed, almost provocative vocals. His vocals are joined by a Nü Metal soundtrack to amplify what he wants to portray. In addition to that, the fast-paced and heavy drums create an air of volatility throughout the track. The electronic elements that would, normally, turn me away from a track surprised me. I love how the mix has plenty of space between each instrument, yet blurs that boundary whenever the track starts to pick up the pace. The near-perfect dynamics on the track truly capture the emotions that Matteo Palermo wants to convey.

I thoroughly enjoy how Matteo Palermo creates an atmosphere and absolutely transforms it into more than it could be. There’s something about his dynamics that set him apart from the crowd. Moreover, I can’t begin to express how amazing this track is. Matteo Palermo & Vitriol Project has got a long way to go in terms of popularity, but things are looking great from the listener’s side.

I listen to and make silly noises while analysing why people behave the way they do.
