Antariksh’s “Naaqis (Acoustic)”: Marvellously Layered Indian Fusion Experience

When I think of an acoustic version, everything is pared back. But Antariksh has brilliantly laid out “Naaqis.” The violin, the tabla, and how both are beautifully woven into this seamless musical marvel, and Varun Rajput’s vocals fit right in.

I love how motivating the lyrics are. Even when life is hard, you sort of find your way.

The instruments have their own space, and the piece doesn’t lose momentum. I love the falsetto vocals of the two female artists; it’s the right measure of freshness needed!

This launches Antariksh Unplugged Season 1. It has Coke Studio-esque vibes, and I am excited for what else is to come.

I listen, overanalyse, and write about it. The bassline usually gets special treatment.
