Stella Gray- Heart So Cheap | Ecstatic Pop

Stella Gray is an up-and-coming artist from Sydney. She’s a part of the ‘Rogue’ indie-pop duo. Stella’s inspirations come from famous artists like Tate McRae, GAYLE, MAY-A, COIN, Olivia Rodrigo, Spacey Jane, and The Jungle Giants, Saint Motel, The Kooks. She has experimented with many genres like Pop, Rock, and Indie.

Stella Gray’s debut single ‘Heart So Cheap’ is out! ‘Heart So Cheap’ is a pop song with an upbeat melody. Gray’s powerful vocals and the catchy chorus will stay with you long after you’ve finished listening. The overall vibe of the song is light and airy. It is easy to sing along to and the beat is catchy – making you want to hit replay. What I like most about this song is that the lyrics are so relatable. We’ve all been in relationships where we feel like we are better off on our own and the chorus in the song captures that feeling. The musical arrangements are also executed very well. I think that the producer(s) did a great job of creating a lush and polished soundscape that enhances the overall listening experience.

Stella’s voice, the guitar work, and the drumbeat all come together to create such a harmonious track. There are high-pitched tones from time to time, but Stella makes it so seamless that you wouldn’t even notice. The voice is reminiscent of Taylor swift – however, I would say that the voice singing has a more raw tone than Taylor Swift. If you’re looking for a song that will stay with you long after you’ve finished listening, then be sure to check out ‘Heart So Cheap’ today.
