Pharrell Williams : New Movie Trailer Reveal Kendrick Lamar Jay-Z Lego Figurines

R&B sensation Pharrell Williams and Focus Features shared the trailer for “Piece by Piece” – a biographical musical comedy-drama film which tells us the story of Pharrell’s life using Lego mini-figures. Morgan Neville has directed the film. Produced by The Lego Group, Williams’ own I Am Other, and Neville’s Tremolo Productions, it will be the fifth theatrical Lego film. Universal Pictures are holding the rights to the Lego film – something we have not seen before. This also follows the end of Warner Bros. Pictures’ run of the Lego film series.

The trailer shows lego depictions of Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, Timbaland, Busta Rhymes, and director Morgan Neville himself. We will also get to see N.O.R.E. and Daft Punk in the movie.

Pharrell Williams: The creative genius with a story worth telling

The trailer starts with Pharrell’s words: “You know what would be cool? If we told my story with Lego!” No doubt the audience is in for a ride with an unique storytelling approach to an inspiring life story. Moreover the film is not just an account of Pharrell’s struggle as one of the world’s greatest record producers. It is much more than that, it is a celebration of creativity.

“When I had this crazy vision to tell this story through Lego bricks, I couldn’t have imagined a better partner than Morgan. He is a legend. Grateful that Focus wanted to collaborate with us and I’m honored to share this with the world and bring people into my universe,” says Williams.

Described as a “unique cinematic experience”, Piece By Piece is all set to release on Friday, October 11th this year.
