Korn set to headline ‘Good Things’ Festival in Australia ft Sum 41, Mastodon, Northlane, and more

Australia’s ‘Good Things’ Festival have announced their lineup for this December with Canadian nu metal band Korn headlining the fest. Some other names in the lineup include Sum 41, Violent Femmes, Electric Callboy and more.

The 3 day festival which started in 2018 is all ready for this year’s edition from 6th to 8th December in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane respectively. Apart from the two time grammy winning headlining act, some more bands in the sub-headlining list include Billy Corgan, Mastodon, Kerry King and The Gaslight Anthem. Over the last three decades, Korn has also won several platinum certifications. Fourteen of the band’s official releases have been in Billboard Top 200.

Fans get to witness Sum 41, Violent Femmes, Billy Corgan and other sub-headlining acts

As for Sum 41, this will be their last show in Australia before they disband after a world tour and after releasing their eighth studio album, “Heaven :x: Hell”. Front man Deryck Whibley says he is proud of what the Ontario rockers have achieved over the years, but it is finally time now to “call it quits”. “It’s the right time to walk away from it. I’m putting all of my energy into what’s ahead. This is going to be the biggest tour of our lives, and I want to make it the best show we’ve ever done. That’s it,” says Whibley.

Melbourne rockers Violent Femmes who were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame last year will also be there with their classic hits like ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl”. Fans will also get to listen to German metalcore band Electric Callboy and The Smashing Pumpkin front man Billy Corgan supported by The Delta Riggs. Billy will play his solo catalogue songs as well as the iconic hits from The Smashing Pumpkins!

Grammy winning American heavy metal band Mastodon will also be performing. Australian heavy metallers from Blacktown, Northlane are also set to take the stage. The band had won the “Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album” category for the third time at the ARIA Music Awards of 2019 for their album Alien.
