Ye (Kanye West) finally released his long-delayed album “Bully” after fans accused a teaser track of significantly using AI-generated vocals. Hours before the release, Ye reversed course.
Following an incident where fans complained about the use of synthetic voice technology in tracks like “Pracher Man”, just hours before the release, Ye changed course with a promise that the album would use “No AI”. After more than 18 months of development, the 20-track project was finally released on March 27-28, 2026.
Last-minute rework included Stevie Wonder and The Supremes-influenced sample sounds. Adding to the chaos, the album went missing from Spotify and Apple Music after its initial release on March 27th.

The initial teaser for “Bully” was dropped way back in September 2024, just a month after his last album, Vultures 2 was out.“Bully” was planned as an 18-track LP then, expanded to 20 later. Kanye has played tracks like”Preacher Man” and “Beauty and the Beast” live as well.
Ye/Kanye West’s “BULLY” – Tracks include samples from Stevie Wonder and The Supremes classics – Collaborations from Travis Scott and Ceelo Green
Bully features collaborations from artists like Travis Scott, Nine Vicious, Ty Dolla $ign, Ceelo Green and James Blake. However, Blake has publicly requested removal from one track due to dissatisfaction with the final version. West is quite known for taking samples from classic songs and raising their pitch, and this album features the same. The Supremes’ 1958 hit “You Can’t Hurry Love” features on West’s “I Can’t Wait”, while West samples Stevie Wonder’s cover of The Carpenters’ “Close To You” on “White Lines”, featuring Andre Troutman.
The YouTube stream features a black-and-white short film of the same name. Directed by West and starring his son Saint, the movie shows Saint repelling attacks from fighters in a boxing ring. West streamed the full album on YouTube shortly after midnight in the US, but it has been since unlisted from the site.
Post-release, Ye has apologized publicly for all the controversies surrounding the album. Ye quietly dropped the album after 24 hours radio silence on release day, making the act itself a publicity stunt! What comes along with the album is a music video for “Father”, directed by Bianca Censori. Early April, West has announced performances in SoFi Stadium. Click here for tickets!
