American death metal giants Cannibal Corpse have announced their biggest UK tour ever. The lineup includes crossover thrash band Municipal Waste, New York death legends Immolation and Belgian thrash/death metal group Schizophrenia.
“We’ve played some festivals with Municipal Waste in the past but we’ve never done a full tour with them, so we’re really excited that it’s finally happening,” says an excited ‘Corpse bassist Alex Webster about the bill. “And of course, we’ve done a lot of touring with our friends Immolation over the years; we’re always ready to hit the road with them again – they’re one of our favourite bands, both personally and musically. It’ll be an intense night of death and thrash metal, and Schizophrenia’s blend of those genres should be a perfect way to kick things off. We can’t wait for this one, see you this fall!”

Cannibal Corpse: Latest works
Just 6 months back on September 22nd last year the band had released their last album “Chaos Horrific”. The album had received mixed reviews. To Bree Halmstad of MetalSucks, the album was further proof that the band was on “top of the death metal food chain after 35 years,” with an album that encapsulates a “sort of variety that keeps the listener engaged”. Where as Metal.de’s Oliver Di Lorio’s opinion was that the record was yet another “standard work” where no song really “stands out”.
On April 2021, Cannibal Corpse had received their best “first week” sales of all-time. They also got their first Top 10 on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart as their album “Violence Unimagined” entered at No. 6 with 14,000 copies sold. “Violence Unimagined” had mostly received positive reviews, thus making the band’s “mission to spread global devastation” as Sean McLennan of New Noise Magazine had called it, a success. “Instrumentally unstoppable and visually indescribable, Violence Unimagined sees Cannibal Corpse entering the post-pandemic world as the colossal conquerors of death metal,” were Sean’s words.
