RISE will remind you of the synth soaked 80s rock that inspired many. From the moment you press play, you’re transported to Kenny Loggins’ music den, where music meets visuals. Their 2024 EP Memories and Possibilities is full of music that will take you on a journey on the colourful ribbons of synth. This one is called Without You.

Comprised of Sam, Paul Kinley, Alex Mahoney and Brian Petch, the four-piece band have a pulse that seems to transcend this time and age. Coming from Liverpool, England, RISE make a whole new layer of tunes. Their rock flow has the kind of dance tone that is a precarious amalgam. It is always refreshing to see music from the home of The Beatles. The synth tones flow from one progression to another, while Sam (aka stayMellow) belts out the vocals. He matches the energy of the moment seamlessly. The amount of detail and effort in the tones is something that is inspiring to listen to.
RISING to the moment
With their collection, RISE have put forward their A grade effort while making sure we’re subjected to some of the best indie music we have heard this year. The builds are inspiring to listen to, they elevate the possibilities of where all the song can go. It is a relationship that is built with the band through melody, and something memorable that stays with you for time to come.

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
