Formed in 2021, COSMICA provides glimpses into their meticulously constructed universe. The Brisbane-based band, named after the Italian translation of “The Cosmos,” offers a unique musical journey.
I just had the chance to listen to COSMICA’s single, “Castle of Dark Illusions,” and I’m really impressed!

The song wastes no time grabbing your attention with an explosive opening riff. You can feel the raw energy even before the vocals kick in. And the vocals – man, the singer’s powerful delivery really steals the show. She belts it out with so much grit and passion, perfectly matching the intensity of the music.

I loved when it switches gears into the anthemic chorus – it gave me chills! The way the instruments drop out except for her vocals was incredibly effective. It builds you up just to crush you back down again with the full band coming back in. Such a great way to write a chorus that sticks with you.

The cinematic elements they incorporated were a really cool touch, too. It took the song to even darker places without losing any of that gritty edge they’re known for. The eerie atmosphere created a vibe that was just as motivating as it was unsettling. Really unique sound overall.
COSMICA proved once again why they continuously put out quality works of art. This is exactly the kind of high-energy rock song I need right now. Major kudos to them – can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
