The 106 Bewilder with Indie Blues in Latest Track, Ocean Drive

The 106 is an alt rock band delivering a bluesy summer track for their latest release, Ocean Drive. The sonic pallets and sound design have a mellow, yet futuristic build. Weaving in ambiguous funk elements and looping it into melodic rock riffs and smoky vocals, the band lays claim on a new and innovative indie rock profile. The production value peaks with seamless transitions. Flashing synth rock frames are nuanced with dazed riffs, new age funk, and soft beat pulses. And these elements are sublimely phased to conceptualize a complex melancholy.

The track sets up a diverse stylistic unit that is reminiscent of artists like FKJ, Modest Mouse, Tom Misch, Oasis, and Arctic Monkeys. It spells out a mood, inspired by memories and colored by nostalgia. The smoky vocals form on the brink of surrealism. In combination with visual synths and coarse riff shavings, an outworldly synergy swirls and forms in the mind. Listen Now!
