Enoka – More Than Friends | Seductively Glistening

Enoka is, already, a well-established Pop musician in the Swedish music industry. Having worked with various stars across Europe and across the world, including Bobby Farell from Boney M, she has so much experience. Enoka has stepped out of the shadows to release her own songs. And she is doing quite well for herself, amassing over ten thousand monthly listeners on Spotify. The Swedish singer-songwriter has just dropped her latest single, More Than Friends.

This is such a well-crafted track. The arpeggios and ethereal vocals that start the track off remind me of The Weeknd and the heavy drum & bass tracks. The verse breakdown is uncannily groovy. Enoka has a gem of a voice that she manipulates so well. The chorus is so catchy and groovy. I love the synths that add such a light texture to the atmosphere. More Than Friends is a track that almost glistens as you listen to it. It reminds me of Blinding Lights and other Disco Pop singles. Additionally, it is the kind of track that really pumps you up and makes you feel like the main character. Enoka shows such expertise in her lyrics as well as melodic and harmonic progressions. I’m sure that after being in the industry for so long, she’s picked up skills that have definitely come in handy.

Much like Pharrell Williams and T.I., Enoka has started making a name for herself aside from her features on other artists’ music. This is the dawn of a new era in Disco Pop so get ready to jump on the bandwagon before anyone else!
