Blind Man’s Daughter, the solo project of Denver-based musician Ashley Wolfe, probably wanted to write a song about heartbreak. But all her words are pouring love in her latest single “Say It Again”. The track feels personal and intimate.
Wolfe sings with a warm and expressive voice, enunciating every emotion. The soundscape is built on soft instrumentals, subtle beats, smaltzy synths, and a rather-too-vibrant production. The song goes on for a good 4 minutes with every layer arriving at just the right moments.
You can feel the pain and frustration in every line, but also empathize with the singer. This makes the song easy to connect with even if you’ve never lived the exact story she’s tells.

To her credit, Ashley Wolfe handled every part of the process herself, DIY’ing everything from writing and recording to producing the track. This only highlights her abilities as an artist. Her sound tries to blend different genres instead of getting shoehorned into one.
“Say It Again” by BMD makes sense in the current pop soundscape. Instead of relying on gimmicks, Wolfe delivers a song that hits you right in the feels. This might just be the next addition to your playlist!
