News For Indian Artists! BTS' Agency HYBE Launches India Auditions To Scout Local Talent

Want to audition to become the next global star from India? BTS’s agency HYBE is now coming to India! Auditions announced nationwide across several cities, including Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati and Pune. Registrations open 31st March!

Post their much-anticipated comeback with their latest album Arirang, the move comes as a significant strategy for their global expansion, targeting not only Indian artists but also the ones within the Indian diaspora.

Artist-training, Music Production, Fan building: HYBE’s ecosysytem covers it all

HYBE’s multi-label structure combines artist training, music production, and fan-platform ecosystems. What this signals is also a shift for India from a primary consumption market to a potential creator source within the HYBE global pipeline.

Quite different from usual talent hunts, the company operates on a K-Pop style trainee system; long-term, intensive development across performance, language, and global positioning. Partnered with platforms like Weverse. Its“multi-home, multi-genre” approach integrates global positioning with localised talent development, examples being the Japan and US rollout.

HYBE’s Indian subsidiary was launched in Mumbai last year, in November. In December, BTS fans got to see a glimpse of HYBE’s presence at Jungkook’s GOLDEN: The Moments exhibition held in Mumbai. India is the fifth international hub for the agency, former countries being Japan, the US, Latin America andChina.

Globally successful acts under the HYBE ecosystem include BTS, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, and KATSEYE. Now that the BTS’ agency has launched in India, BTS fans are speculating a BTS India tour.

HYBE Auditions: Ten cities included in the list

HYBE reaches a wide audience and supports equal participation from India’s diverse cultural backgrounds. The entertainment powerhouse will take online submissions along with offline auditions in the following cities:
