Motihari Brigade’s “Fortunate Son” Is a High-Energy Rock-and-Roll Single With Real Intensity

U.K.-born vocalist and lead guitarist Eric Winston sits at the center of Motihari Brigade’s identity. He’s behind their distinctive electric vibrato sound, and also behind the bigger idea that ties it all together, which feels urgent, not just artistic. With Motihari Brigade, the music doesn’t stay on the surface. Their project, Rock-n-Roll Thoughtcrime, takes cues from George Orwell’s most pointed visions and translates that intensity into something you can feel in the guitars and the momentum of the songs.

Motihari Brigade’s new single, “Fortunate Son,” is a proper rock-and-roll hit. This is a cover of the original song by Creedence Clearwater Revival. It bursts out with electrifying electric guitar work, the kind that snaps your attention instantly, and the high-energy rock vocals follow with real intensity.

There’s no soft landing here. The whole track moves with head-banging momentum, like it’s built for movement and volume. The vibe is constantly “happening,” full of adrenaline, and it keeps that charged aura without ever feeling forced.

Underneath all that energy, the theme is sharp and political, exploring issues like social inequality, political hypocrisy, and deep anger toward privilege and war. The song is written from the perspective of an ordinary person. Someone who feels shut out of the power and protection wealthy, politically connected families seem to get automatically.
