HULLAH- Chasing Trains | Journey

HULLAH is part of the electro-pop duo Futuretape and a writer, producer, and is a sound designer based in London.

He moved to the city in 2013 after growing up in the Midlands. Making music is influenced by his love for the nightclub culture and LGBT stories.

HULLAH’s tunes are infused with trip-hop, 90’s house, and synth-pop. His lyrics also include themes such as city life, loneliness, aspiration, and misery.

His compositions, both pensive and lonesome, reveal how he deals with the chaos and turbulence of urban life.

He is best known for composing and producing songs for Futuretape and himself, but he’s also written for other musicians. On BBC Radio Introducing, Amazing Radio, and Tom Robinson’s Fresh on the Net, his work with Gabrielle Ornate on the singles “Waiting to be Found” and “Spirit of the Times” was featured.

HULLAH’s recent single titled “Chasing Trains” will have you singing along. The tune is calm and laid-back all the way through, carried by an acoustic guitar loop and light piano and drum beats. With his soothing vocal range slowly guiding you through the track, it’s no wonder listeners relate to his lyrics “What am I trying to do? What am I trying to prove?” The overall vibe of Chasing Trains is that of a slow, but epic train ride across different landscapes in life.

If you want to listen to something both relaxing yet relatable, without having your head banged against electronic elements, this song is the answer.
