“Hollywood Blvd.” marks a definite evolution by Love Ghost in terms of their sound from past songs, like “Left On Read”, and so on– changing up their punk/pop rock sound for a more trap-influenced sound in sections of this song, while it still retains a solid punk rock base. This shows that Love Ghost has been hard at work in the studio trying to experiment with new sounds and styles– and that is something that I saw well executed on “Hollywood Blvd.”

The guitars, in true Love Ghost style, form the meat of the melodic base on this song– and the palm-muted sections on the hip-hop sections akin to the ones on “Pick Myself Apart” make for a nice switch-up in sound and feel. The vocals find themselves take on a more relaxed, ballad-like tonality, with the lead vocalist hitting the notes rather well, with the nice Spanish rap verse added in the middle adding to the flair and the uniqueness of this song.
The production retains a lot of influence and picking from pop and punk, with the trademark crunchy guitars, solos in the background adding another touch of detail, which is something I quite loved as well. As we start stepping into the outro to this song, there is quite a nice solo in the background that leaves the listener with something to remember this song by.
