Cush Wallace is the freshest Hip Hop artist from the West Coast and is based in Los Angeles. While he tries to bring a new sound to the West Coast, he has also picked up musical influences from the East. Cush Wallace’s music is honest and authentic about his partners and business dealings. Using his influence from the music capitals of New York and Los Angeles, Cush crafts a sound that is familiar and new at the same time. Additionally, he draws influence from his Afro-Latino roots and other artists with similar and dissimilar roots.
His latest single, Types of Ways, is a slowdivey, smooth single with a lot to unpack. The instrumental and beat remain minimalistic throughout the track. However, Cush Wallace does such a brilliant job of holding your attention using his vocals. His voice commands that attention even though it seems a little subdued. Moreover, the beat is so deep and heavy, that it adds this dark, gloomy texture that contrasts the light synth in the background that plays every other bar. Cush Wallace is not afraid to be himself and open up to his audience. His poetry shines throughout the song with his lyrical flow and bars that go on for days.
Cush Wallace has a load of music for all moods. You can check out the rest of his discography on Spotify and various other platforms.
