Ruiz! brings his indie rock guns with his latest catchy and fun single, “Stupid Old Git”

Ruiz! has his own way of introducing to you his projects. Fun, exciting and often as individualistic as a fingerprint, this musician has picked up a lot of instruments. When I say a lot, I mean all of them that you hear in his songs. There is a strange addiction to calling someone a git. Part of my vocabulary now and his latest single, this is Stupid Old Git.

There is an interesting flow of melodies you want to focus on as soon as the song starts. The classic rock wind is well within this chamber, the song seems like a perfect balance of those riffs and licks that Jefferson Airplane would create in their psychedelic sounds. Whatever you think the song is going to sound like, throw all expectations out. A bit Bowie, a bit Stones-there is a lot going on. In the end, the mixture is something that is definitely Ruiz! and it all falls like a jigsaw. You expect it to be a raucous mess, yet there are different scales explored by this multi-instrumentalist master. His attention to tone and the particulars are immensely entertaining to listen to. This is Ruiz! at his best, experimental and wild.

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
