Myoon, the French indie-alt-duo formed by two brothers, is carving out an endearing space in music with their fantastically articulated soundscapes. Their latest EP, “Run With The Stars”, shines through its seamless balance of electronic instrumentals and indie-pop lyricism. “Run With The Stars” by Myoon is a six-track EP that unfolds the journey of soul love. Each track feels like a fragment of a sound map that the next track completes.
“Boom Boom” is a soft pop with a deep spiritual context. The brothers’ voices are smooth and joyous like the image of the two children sitting on a pink fluffy cloud. Despite the playful title, “Boom Boom,” the song carries a fascinating contrast of pleasure, pain, and innocence. The production stands apart because of its isolated sonic textures, which move in perfect sync with the lyrics.

What makes “Boom Boom” even stronger is how it quietly reveals the emotional blueprint of the entire EP. On a second listen, you realize Myoon has already planted the full storyline in this opening track. While most albums unfold their narrative gradually, Myoon gives listeners a glimpse of the destination from the very beginning. Lines like, “With every beat, the rhythm takes hold. In this world of shots and gold. Eternity can be settled on, in this world where we belong. Souls Collide,” naturally introduce the EP’s larger vision.
“Forward”, the second track propels the EP into the depths of its actuality in a truly sonic way. It has a fast rhythm, the speed of anticipation of what is to come next, with a very cinematic approach to it. From the soft & swaying “Boom Boom”, “Forward” grabs you and brings you on the dance floor. The synth evokes a dreamscape of possibilities while the beats keep you grounded in reality.
“Dreamer” is a flirty indie-pop with lyrics that explore the mystery of chemistry in relationships. The starting lines, “I know I am a dreamer, just can you touch my skin? Feels like summer, if you know what I mean. If we are made of water. Tell me why you are waiting next to me? I burn like fire. Can you explain it to me?” captures the passion that consumes us. The production glows with radiant beats, while the vocals add a surreal, almost weightless quality. It speaks to that part of us that longs deeply but hesitates to take the first step.

Keeping the EP’s momentum alive, “Dark World” introduces a darker edge. The eerie production creates tension, almost like the inevitable conflict in a fairy tale before the happy ending. Myoon uses this track as the EP’s shadow chapter, a reminder that love and growth often require us to face fear, uncertainty, and inner darkness.
The namesake track of the EP “Run With The Stars” is a bold declaration of love for the beloved and a promise to ‘never let it fade’. The opening lines briefly reminded me of “You’re Beautiful” by James Blunt, but Myoon quickly takes the song in a very different direction. Instead of longing from a distance, this track embraces love with courage and devotion. The last number, “Walking Down The Street,” grounds the entire experience of the EP. After a journey through the desires, passion, shadows, and emotional introspection, the closing track roots the cosmic nature of love in your reality.
The Parisian boys of Myoon make electronic music a medium for the universal message of eternal love to seep in. “Run With The Stars” is an EP that integrates the different phases of inner evolution. From being in the present, movement, dreaming, confronting darkness, expanding to love, and finally integrating it.
