Watch Me Die Inside is a musical project of Aleph, a Cyprus-based musician, who is known for his edgy and contemporary metal music that combines the best of combines metal, electronica, melodic elements, and experimental textures. A sound that’s a unique combination of intense, dystopic musicality which the artist describes as “Deathened Melodic Electro Pop Black Metal.” Rising to the mainstream with his refreshing metal appeal, Watch Me Die Inside is all about experimentation that’s heartfelt.
Recently, Watch Me Die Inside released an intriguing metal number called ‘Fantasy Girl’ a reimagining of Johnny O.’s original, the song is a darker, more psychologically charged rendition. The song comes off as a stunning metal electronica kaleidoscope that features synthetic textures, gorgeous drums and bass, and abrasive guitar, creating a deeply immersive, nocturnal atmosphere.

What’s so intriguing in the song is the treatment of the “fanstasy girl”. Starting off on a high emotional note, the lyrics then enter into an ambiguous territory where in the narrator starts thinking about whether the passion for the “fantasy girl” is even real or not. With a musicality that’s a fine blend of modern metal and avant-garde electronica elements, the song is embedded with interesting metal motifs and sonic layering, while the catchy tunes in between add a perfect bit of melancholy and drama.
With vocals that are raw, organic, and come straight from the depths of the artist’s heart, the song gets its incredible fervour from the gorgeous vocals.
