Let us find out what the listeners can expect from this EP.

The latest EP by ReeToxA, Double A Side 2 (Akaroa/Erica And The Stars) consists of four tracks and runs for a duration of just fourteen minutes and fifty-four seconds. But the four tracks of this EP include two full-length songs, Akaroa and Erica And The Stars, as well as their respective karaoke or instrumental versions. The karaoke versions of the two tracks allow the listeners to enjoy the underlying sonic elements in the compositions without the vocals. So let us dive deeper into each of the songs one by one.

Akaroa

The first song of the EP, Akaroa, has a very authentic rock soundscape. It starts off with a very soothing electric guitar riff that instantly sets the vibe. The riff itself is enough to draw the listeners’ attention right from the beginning of the track. A straight and steady groove holds the song together, where the drums and bass play a very important role. The rhythm section keeps the pulse of the song alive, and the sonic rises and falls are under exceptional control. So, the listeners can feel every bit of the soundscape to the core. There is a beautiful guitar solo that seems to be floating right above the mix towards the end of the song, and it is simply mind-blowing. The overall production of the track is also flawless, thus making it an enjoyable track for the listeners.

Erica And The Stars

The second track of the EP, Erica And The Stars, showcases a more orchestral side of the project with a pinch of pop rock elements. In this song, the Budapest Orchestra deserves special mention for adding a layer of sonic depth to the composition with the beautiful string section. Besides that, Jessica McPherson-Riley also joins forces in this song to contribute as the backing vocalist, thus taking the track to a higher level. Overall, this track has a very spacey, cinematic feel that instantly captivates the listeners.
