The track is this cool mix of ska, funk, and rock. It kicks off with a snappy drum roll, then jumps into some fast mid-tempo guitar stabs. Davison’s vocals just ride along with the drums, funk guitar, and organ harmonies. Nuke the Soup delivers a tasty indie rock song here that will make sure you groove your head along.

The song is about addiction, inspired by William S. Burroughs’ book ‘Naked Lunch.’ The lyrics talk about working out these “bugs” in life. The lyric video has cicadas, which is a neat touch and fits well with the song’s vibe. Musically, there’s a bit of everything – bluesy licks and a nice organ and clean guitar solo. It’s got this groove that just makes you want to move.

Bugs” by Nuke the Soup is a fun, catchy tune that shows off Davison’s skills and the band’s tight sound. It’s definitely worth adding to your plyalists especially if you’re into ska, funk, or rock.
