LL Groove Band-Mister M | All funks given

Your Halloween groove has been set. LL Groove Band bring a heavy-duty steel trunk full of it in their tracks usually. Now you get a double order owing to the festive season with Mister M. There’s no way this is not going to your regular playlist, because Victor Wooten would approve, trust me.

Using an extremely thick spread of bass, this band comes together to make some jazz-funk magic. Fusing it with something like rap just makes the stank face that much more legitimate. They allow the groove to set and engrave itself for a while, and then the bars come in. The rhythm and bars climbing on each other, almost one-upping themselves throughout the track. The lead comes in with the verse, LL Groove Band hopefully stands for Luscious & Ludicrous Groove Band, because they are delivering on a promise they didn’t have to make. There is a structure that makes it look so easy, but you have to have the funk within you to harness it.

Their tracks have a play and almost contractual relationship with Mr Funkushima, who is their version of Satan. He helps them create the kind of music he makes, for free. Some beings are content with providing content. LL Groove band also has some other single releases that lay the beat and groove absolutely down. Listen to their catchy music and dance along here:

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
