The track was released in late January this year, at the upend of Gaga’s version in the wake of the Wednesday Hype and viral TikTok trends. The artists preserve the essence of the original version, banking on its darkness to boost the song’s emotional appeal with high-house sensibilities.
The synthetic vocals flesh out the prime house textures. It brings an e-girl aesthetic, contemporizing the sultry appeal of the original version. Its hyperactive rhythm bursts at the seams with distilled vivacity, driving the track to the soaring heights of a rave scene.
