Cheryl Craigie is an independent singer, songwriter, and musician. She’s been singing since she was young, and her desire to write and compose her own material has grown even more over the last few years. She has also worked closely with producer Eric Goldberg, with whom she has co-produced nine songs so far, including three tracks that are her own original work.

You find elements of soul and nostalgic influence. But I love how Cheryl still brings her own distinct interpretation through her vocal style.

This is a cover of Marvin Gaye, but it doesn’t feel like a simple re-tread. At its core, “What’s Going On” is a powerful call for peace, empathy, and social change. Even though it’s rooted in the early 1970s turmoil, the message lands as timeless, encouraging a more compassionate, united world.
