NAKAMAX is a Canadian future house artist that seems to literally come from the future. Hi style and production ideas are really progressive and euphoric. His synth pads are dreamy and take you on a journey through the clouds in your flying car a few years into the future from now. Is this the music you’ll be bumping in your car at that time? We’ll never know shall we. A bootstrap paradox that makes you question who NAKAMAX is.
‘So Bad’ is his latest single after his 2020 release ‘Run Away’. A noticeable improvement in his style and a more refined future house track is born out of the two-year hiatus. The song has really nice melodies that just compliment the vocals perfectly. Not an easy feat to achieve, especially in this genre. The anticipation created in the first part of the song is really on point. The drop is ecstatic and does the anticipation justice, not like a lot of music out there today. Usually when the buildup is creating so much anticipation, it is hard to make a drop that is actually rewarding and satisfying or worth the wait!
NAKAMAX has some really good sound and really good taste in vocals as well. The percussions are very generic and do complete justice to this style. To go out of the way to make percussions will just sound out of the way in a mix like this. The straight forward kick and snare give the right amount of anticipation in the early stages of the track. Really smooth mix that shows the musical prowess of NAKAMAX. His style makes us dream of a future and the people in the future nostalgic. If that makes any sense!
