Unarmed – Home | Fiery Joy Storm

Home is the latest dazzling single by Portland, Oregon alternative melodic hardcore rock band Unarmed. It Prevails (Rise), Scars of Tomorrow (Victory), and American Me’s current and previous members make up the band. Their music features distinctive hooks and melodies interspersed with thick, dense, melody-laden guitars, lush rhythms, and emotional lyrics that vocalist and bassist Ian Fike delivers with gut-wrenching passion and honesty.

We get a pleasant distorted guitar riff alone as the song commences. This is then pushed by a fast paced snare punk rock groove. Here full chords expressed on distorted rhythm guitars are laid on top of this background. The chorus is stunning thanks to the beautiful rhythm guitar tone. The musical progression there creates a sense of hope and home. Love the transition and the apt use of pauses to drive the dynamics. Passionate and emotive music by Unarmed, screamed over a blend of heavy riffs and melodic guitar, creates a dynamic and intense melodic hardcore sound.

A rooted energy bridge with smooth vocals transitions proceeds into a great hopeful outro chorus. Thoroughly enjoying the song and its transcending vibes of joy and hope. It has the feel of pop punk which is modern and mature in its scope. Their music features distinctive hooks and melodies interspersed with thick, dense, melody-laden guitars, lush rhythms, and emotional lyrics that vocalist and bassist Ian Fike delivers with gut-wrenching passion and honesty. This is the kind of rock one would truly love while creating hope and inspiration. With Home by Unarmed, we get a beautiful heavy rock song that will keep you on your toes!
