Fallen Letters release a melodic mastodon with their second alt-rock single, “Relapse”

Though Fallen Letters are new to the playing field, they need no introduction. Their performance in Remain a Memory has proven their mettle, creating metal for the select few. Only those who wish to hear more than music will be present here, and they treat the alliance with respect. Their unique blend of acoustic, rock, metal and neo-folk makes their concoction one to brood over. This is their latest single, Relapse.

Metal makes way for melancholy

If you were to break down melodic components, Fallen Letters pay a lot of attention to the transitions. There has to be an organic build to the chorus, and it is a play of the conscience. A simple riff accompanies Vishal Naidu’s voice, as the faint harmonics create a dynamic play between textures. Aditya Ramesh has searched the spectrum for the perfect guitar tones, syncopating in the parts where the instrumentals glow in the limelight.

The chorus is an emotional effervescence, it asks for it to be heard with care, a fracture of the joint before the breaking point. As a duo, they are playing off of each other’s strengths, and titrate it into this chemical malady that echoes strains of Katatonia. Mike Langford lays back the drums with care, focusing a concave gaze of attention on the songwriter duo.

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
