NotRye brings the truth glass to look at with their latest single, “Never Mine”

NotRye brings a tone and style to music that musicians often stray away from. It involves expressing the true self, with painful truths and realisations, along with an honest perspective on life. This artist paints beautiful pictures that might be a hard pill to swallow sometimes. This is their latest single, Never Mine.

With a minimal background and the raw, picturesque soundscape that is their voice, the song continues. The poetry is apparent, sometimes on the nose and real to read. The honesty is felt in the quivering reality of the words. You can feel a melancholy that is resonated with the single strums of the instrument. The harmonics prepare you for the gorge of emotion that swirl around the song.

In all honesty

For the short song that it is, it is as bare as you can see an artist put themselves out. Without the experience of the melodies, the transparent creativity of the track is felt in twofold. Move On and Ghost Me are singles like this as well. It is not only a perception by society, but an image of self. NotRye has some brilliant writing to make songs that make your heart ache as much as they move you.

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
