Faint On Call has just released his EP-single, Pearl, a horror themed rock that delves into the raging fabric of pain and the disquiet it comes with. The artist makes his mark with this powerful composition. Dark and deeply wallowing, it flows over us deliciously with perspectives sprouting like pearls.
A grooving bass underlies the singular shines of guitar melodies that rise from the bed like fireflies. The metallic beats of the cymbals follows the rhythm. Its complemented by a solid beats that segment them into blocks along and stabilize the structure. The haunting theme of the song is brought out very well by both the dilated licks of guitar melodies and the vocals.
Its tortured expression casts a gloom and allures us as it tells the story of relentless pursuit of pain. The artist uses the fluid trajectory of the vocals to portray the varied shapes the forms in which pain manifests. Running away from its insanity is an insanity in itself – When it comes, I savor to quickly; only to wind up bloated and tired. The artist uses ocean metaphors to describe its endlessness roar and vastness.
With a marked high in the chorus, the instrumentation, lyrics and the vocals guide us in the direction of a final salvation – a warm embrace where hope is abundant and the freedom is irreversible!
