Skeleton Ocean – Bedrooms | Lost In Emotions

Skeleton Ocean is Joseph Hoskins’ brainchild. He started playing the guitar when he was eight years old in San Diego, California. He then formed a band and started networking in the music business. Eventually, his journey led him to Denver, Colorado, where he now resides. His sound has been greatly influenced by the music and culture of Denver. After serving as an opening act at renowned venues such as Belly Up Aspen and the Bluebird Theatre, he made the decision to launch a solo endeavor and devote himself entirely to production. In 2019, a group of his friends and fellow artists founded Broken Sleep Collaborative, a record company, and artist collective. His solo musical venture, Skeleton Ocean, is a mixture of electronic pop and emo/rock. His debut EP is titled Paradise. He also enjoys collaborating with musicians of many genres to create songs.

Now he has released a new album ‘Bedrooms.’ ‘Bedrooms’ has a total of 6 songs. The first song ‘Problems,’ is a deeply introspective and intellectual exploration of the difficulties that might arise between loving couples. The opening song of the same name is a beautiful and insightful examination of the complexities of relationships. The lyrics are deep and the vocals are hauntingly beautiful. The composition is simple and elegant. This is a must-listen song for anyone who is looking for an honest and thought-provoking exploration of love and relationships.

‘Sleep Pill’ is a song that tackles serious topics like sadness and loneliness, but does so with a light and engaging touch. The lyrics are honest and vulnerable, but the overall tone is hopeful and optimistic. The song is perfect for those moments when you need a little pick-me-up, but don’t want something that’s too heavy with the amazing chorus.

If you’re looking for the perfect soundtrack to beat the blues, look no further than ‘Ride Away.’ This song has a nostalgic vibe that will instantly transport you back to the 1980s. The catchy sound is paired with interesting lyrics, making it the perfect tune for a quick refreshment. The excellent vocals and bass background music combine to create a hypnotic soundscape that will keep you coming back for more. So whether you’re hitting the road for a weekend getaway or staying close to home, make sure to add ‘Ride Away’ to your playlist.

The song ‘No Time’ is unlike any other song on the album. It starts with upbeat music and his vocals are full of energy throughout the song. It’s like an anthem for staying energized, but the lyrics are chaos incarnate, revolving around a relationship of some sort – whether it be hope or regret.

‘D.S.O.M’ is a haunting and deeply moving song that perfectly encapsulates the feeling of sadness. The guitar work is exceptional, and you can actually feel the despair in the vocals. This is a song that will stay with you long after you’ve heard it.

When two people have a falling out, it can be hard to find common ground again. But sometimes, all it takes is a little forgiveness. The song ‘Forgiveness’ tackles this topic head-on. It starts with a look back at what happened but quickly moves forward. The bass work in this tune is fantastic, and the vocal tone and soundscape become more intense as the song progresses.

The production in the entire album is top-notch, and the lyrics are beautiful and poetic. I can’t get enough of it. If you’re looking for something new and fresh, I highly recommend checking out ‘Bedrooms.’ You won’t be disappointed.
