SillyKing Denny is on his way to preparing a discography the manages to incorporate sensitive subjects to his lyricism while remaining true to some of the celebrated cliques of the hip-hop genre.
The artist nudges his fandom with the release of his first track of the year Limelight, following his previous three releases of 2020 that included Good Time, Oscar and Rotate. Despite the reduced frequency of tracks, Limelight manages to provide to his fans the essential best of SillyKing Denny, as he reports back to his discography with a fuller grasp on the direction of his music.
Seamlessly produced, Limelight tackles the loneliness of heartbreak coupled with the desperation for comfort. At a more technical level, the track is characterised by its inclinations towards a laid-back and introspective pop-infused Rhythm and Bluesy flow, where Denny decorates the verses over an immersive 808-style trap hip-hop percussion. The track is lofi-esque with its ample hi-hat laden instrumentations, making it a track for dilapidated sundowns that lead into introspection.
SillyKing Denny is urban, contemporary and bold in music delivery, making him an artist whose upward slope should be particularly interesting to observe.
