Keelah Tay is an absolutely brilliant performing artist and musician based in Los Angeles, California. She draws inspiration from the human experience and creates music based on it. While she makes, generally, Pop sounding music, she finds inspiration in a multitude of genres. Her musical appreciation ranges from anywhere between Rock to Electronica. Keelah Tay has an extensive discography that has been in the works since 2015!
Her latest single, Between The Lust, seems oddly different from her older stuff. There appears to be more lightness in her music as well as the album art. She has so much soul in her voice that you can easily swoon. The light instrumental that accompanies her voice is super relaxing and allows you to rest easy. Her harmonies and counter melodies are an absolute joy to listen to as they make their way through you to your soul. There aren’t many artists that can make that R&B sound flip as Keelah Tay does in the final third of the track. That little darkness sprinkled in is pretty spicy in this, generally, more relaxed track.
Keelah Tay is so great in this track and I think this could be her best work yet! If I were you, I’d keep an eye out for more of her music. If you happen to be in Los Angeles, try catching her at a show sometime because it will be worth it.
