Greg Bounce creates Synth Pop and dreamy music that will soothe your soul. The singer-songwriter, based in Lisbon, is rather visionary with his music. Moreover, he has a seemingly forward-focused thought process that can be seen in tracks like Fear That Love. While he creates rather dreamy tracks, he is also quite hilarious with a distinct sense of humour. Greg has just released his debut EP, Frango Magic, which features 5 tracks, including the one we’re talking about today!
Thank U is the final song on the EP and is atmospheric, to say the least. Greg Bounce has crafted a track that seemingly takes Synth Pop and puts it through his own mix of sounds. Additionally, the track sort of reminds me of The 1975 with how light and atmospheric it is. The beats seem to take a more reserved role, but somehow add depth at the same time. Greg’s voice is this soft, calming entity that seems to guide everything else. Meanwhile, the strings and the synths seem to add to the atmosphere, creating a bedding of lightness. The track has an almost Brian Eno like sound with minimalistic elements and atmospheric clouding.
Greg Bounce is a phenomenal new artist to break into the scene. While he’s based in Lisbon, Portugal, he has been using a vast array of influences plus his own sound to create his dreamy tracks. I don’t think I can get enough of it.
