KRËODYLIA is an experimental indie album by singer-songwriter and loop-station professional based in London, Laura Guarch. She has been touring festivals internationally and recording for over five years and her music has gained a diverse fanbase who love and appreciate its originality and emotive quality. She is originally from Ulldecona, Spain, and started her career busking in some of the bustling cities of Europe.



The album begins with an emotional track built on melodious a cappella vocal arrangements. Laura has created a labyrinthine sonic spectrum with her powerful vocals, lush harmonies, and ethereal synths that fit her engaging poetics.

Body In Pain

Over a heavy, sustained synth bass line, Laura sings the line, “How does a body in pain feel..” repeatedly, in a manner that seems hypnotic at first. A combination of Laura’s rich harmonies and an array of electro arpeggios and pads propels the track to an energetic outro chorus that is accompanied by an expressive piano.

 Círculo Lunar 

The electronic-jazz touch of Circulo Lunar makes it a complex yet captivating track. Laura has sung in Spanish over a lot of vocal layers, as is her style in this album, in some odd time signatures that set an elaborate groove. 

Post-Truth (featuring Chris Murphy)

In this immersive, crystalline track, Laura teams up with multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist Chris Murphy. As the track begins, a nostalgic piano progression accompanies the beautiful lyrics sung by the two singers. It’s hard to assign a genre to Post Truth because of how immensely rich it is in vocal textures and rhythmic motifs. Additionally, this dynamic track features stimulating ear candy, wailing guitars, and a high-energy outro.


Laura continues her ethereal sonic voyage with Boíra, a sentimental song made up of natural textures and soothing vocals. An elegant piano composition adds to the nostalgic feel of the track, and along with spacious atmospheric elements, it sounds quite moving. There is no denying that Boíra is one of the mellower songs on this album where Laura’s vocals really shine through.

Fleeting Lights

With its deep bass guitar, bizarre percussive elements, and acoustic drums, track number six, Fleeting Lights has an interesting and enticing sound stage with an angelic charm. Her passionate vocal performance here is quite commendable – a great vocal delivery with a warm tone.


Laura enjoys experimenting with multiple genres – on Nàufrags she has fused harmonic Gospel-like voices with colorful melodies. Her lyrics on this track recall a happier time when things were better.

A Loving Sound

“A Loving Soun”, with its distorted guitars, luxurious harmonies, and a plethora of electronic synths, sounds fitting for a soundtrack of a modern day sci-fi film. Laura has created an engaging posi song with complex transitions and playful melodies.


In contrast to the other songs on the album, Sediments is primarily driven by acoustic instruments giving it a more intimate feel. The track is quite dynamic and emotional, and Laura’s soaring vocals here really make the track shine.

Spring With Me

The final track of KRËODYLIA, titled, “Spring With Me”, is a hauntingly beautiful, conversational song where Laura sings in a playful manner. This enthralling track features striking vocals and an increasing energy intensity with every section. A great way to end the album!


Laura Guarch has worked with many interesting sounds to create a diverse range of songs in her debut EP, KRËODYLIA. The unpredictability in her music makes for a captivating listening experience because her songs don’t usually conform to any specific structures and have a sort of randomness to them. With ten genre-bending, bilingual tracks, KRËODYLIA is bound to keep you intrigued and immersed with Laura’s distinct sound.
