The Vonics are a five-piece Alternative / Power Punk Pop band based in Dudley, West Midlands, UK. The band consists of Scott Robinson (Vocals), Mark Hancox (Guitar/Vocals), Chris Dixon (Guitar), John Webb (Bass), and Mark Oliver (Drums). They formed in 2018 and have developed a sound that persists to this day. The band weaves melodies and creates noise but does so with a flair that only The Vonics can achieve. With a modern take on Brit Pop, the quintet achieves a sound that makes you reminisce as well as vibe to newer music.
Their latest single, Hypnotic, describes itself with the title. The tones create this hypnotic trance that immerses the listener in it. The guitar lines that start the song off are catchy and keep you interested. The drums, with a hypnotic groove, keep the rhythm alongside the sweet, phat bass. Mark Hancox’s vocals are the perfect tone for The Vonics too. Hypnotic is a powerful track that stays true to the band’s sound. Moreover, the song sounds whole and full. It’s the kind of track that Rock fans missed in recent years.
