Coma Beach Unleashes Chaos with Jesus’ Tears

Talk about eccentric lyrics and ‘Coma Beach’ will surely be part of that conversation. According to Coma Beach, their music ranges across shock, chaos, pain, rage and isolation! Wow! That sounds extremely appealing. Doesn’t it? A new range of thematic cornerstones for me to explore. Its as if I am watching one of Hollywood’s – one man action movies and the protagonist is just running around gunning and killing people. A powerhouse of energy that drives you even further when you start listening to the lyrics.

Coma Beach has a range of musical influences that got them to where they are today. From Sex Pistols, Ramones, The Cure to Guns and Roses and Bad Religion, their music balances on the line between punk rock and alternative rock. Their music is very theme specific and however chaotic it might sound, there is a clear artistic vision behind each and every one of them. That’s what makes Coma Beach stand out in their genre that is already flooded with bands and artists from across the world.

“They nailed me to the cross, next to Jesus Christ”

Jesus’ Tear starts with this! I’m already hooked and I want to see where this chaos will take me. The lead singer’s growling, accompanied by these lyrics just makes the entire song an unusual experience that sways between extreme energy and extreme contemplation as to what we are listening to. But one thing I can say for sure is that I can’t stop moving to this track! Whether I’m headbanging inside my head or just randomly jumping around my room, this track is a really contagious powerhouse of energy.

The guitar work is stunning and adds most of the energy to the track. With a lot of distortion, the guitar comes forward in the mix and just takes the center stage, with the lyrics. When the track starts and they start pounding at the bass guitar, for a second you question the need for percussions. But the minute the drums pour into the mix, you can feel the energy multiply! A chaotic feeling arises when the vocals are added as well, making you want to scream and jump around maniacally.

An absolute banger of a track that is filled with chaos, and that reminds me of how chaos is the enemy of order. But the enemy of chaos is also the enemy of order! Something to think about while you enjoy Coma Beach’s latest single that will drown you in chaos and bring out a new order within you!
