Tom Minor brings some old school rock to us with his latest single, “The Bad Life”

Tom Minor brings you that classic London indie rock that you miss hearing. If you’re still obsessing over Clash albums and the missed elements of old school rock and roll, this is the artist for you. With his unclenched fist, he will give you riffs and leads to fall in love with hard. This is his single with Creatures of Habit, this is called The Bad Life.

Moving to an old school vibe

From the chord progression, you know this is going to be a good time. His unfiltered vocals bring some great rhythm, a great pairing with the guitar tone. The vocals are a gentle mix of Bowie and Reed. When he breaks into a melodic flow, you’re allowed to experience it before transitioning into the rock and roll vibe. Choice of chord progressions and tempo are perfect for a head bopping brilliant number. Harmonies speak to you like a hum that will engrave itself in your brain. When the spotlight is on Tom Minor and the guitar, he almost goes into a ballad mode. He recedes his vocals to that gentle whisper.

The piano break in the track was my favourite element in the song, a brilliant cue to the Dylan song as well. Tom Minor is the rock star that we deserve now, and the songs we need. It’s Easy To Play Hearts and Saturday Eats Its Young are some unique songs from the musician that really ring through his unique style. Listen to the song here:
