PROJECT: Beyond are an alternative rock band from Bergen, Norway. In their latest single, ‘The End‘ I can definitely hear the atmospheric elements, drumming and rhythm guitars which are on the heavier side of the musical arrangement side of things, with even some growls/screams and satisfying amount of guitar leads thrown in. The song builds up really well, and I especially found the layered guitars and production, incredibly beautiful in the ambient sound it creates. I surely did enjoy it!

Their sound brings together rock and vocal harmonies, while exploring emotional and existential themes. The band is an emerging Norwegian alt rock act that has been active from 2022. This is the band’s fourth single release after ‘Yin’ and ‘Thoughts & Regrets’ in 2023, and their debut single ‘Dreaming’ in 2022. ‘The End’ has come after nearly three years from their last single release, and we are thankful that it finally graced the light of day, to grace our ears, and enjoy some tasty alt rock!
I especially have enjoyed this genre space over the years which borrows from post-hardcore while adding a heavy sound, pulling in elements from pop and metal really well, definitely one of my favourite genres to listen to. The song is really chef’s kiss at the 3 minute mark, where the vocals, blend in and crescendo into growls, guitars leads, and some tasty drumming, can’t praise it enough! Listeners who are into modern rock, pop punk, alternative rock, and bands like Rain City Drive, or Dayseeker, this is for you. So, waste no time and give this great song, some much deserved spins on your streaming service of preference.
