Let us find out what the listeners can expect from this EP.

The latest EP by Seven Nation Army, Power and Money, is not your usual EP with a few different songs in the set. Rather, it offers three completely different takes on one single idea, thus showcasing excellent artistry and vision.

Besides that, the core theme of this EP is exactly what the title suggests: Power and Money, with which come control and the intense pressure these forces exert on modern life. So in this EP, instead of working around different songs to explain this core idea, the artists present the same concept in three distinct musical identities. So let us dive deeper into each of them.

Power and Money – Electro Time

This is the first track on the EP, and it comes across as a very futuristic take on the concept, with all the electronic elements filling the spaces. The pulsating beats and the spacey synth elements all work together to create a cinematic atmosphere. In this particular take, it seems like the tension behind the lyrics comes to the forefront very clearly because of its cold, yet impactful sonic spectrum.

Power and Money – 80s Synths

On this particular take, the song moves into a completely different universe, which is that of synthwave. This track sounds very catchy with the synth lines and grooves. It has a retro feel about it while keeping the futuristic atmosphere alive. The dissonance is present as the central theme suggests. But this version introduces a more melodic angle, thus making it easier for the listeners to connect with.

Power and Money – Raw Guitars

Well, once again, as the title of this particular take suggests, this one brings out the rock soul of the song. The guitars roar out in certain spaces, and the progression becomes heavier and more in-your-face. There’s a perfect balance of aggression and softness in this version of the song. Brace yourself for some amazing guitar work that will probably make this version your favorite amongst all three of them.
