Let us find out what the listeners can expect from this EP.
The latest EP by 4fro Nick, Don’t Waste My Time (LA Mix), consists of two songs. Together, the title track and the other song, Get There Before Noon (LA2 Mix), run for six minutes and twenty-five seconds. Nick takes care of vocals, guitars, production, mixing, mastering, and songwriting for both tracks. He is joined by four other top-notch musicians on this EP. They are Grammy winner Leo Genovese on synths, legendary drummer Johnny Radelat, George Athanas on bass, and João Paulo Drumond on percussion. So let us dive a bit deeper into each of the two songs of this EP, one by one.
Don’t Waste My Time (LA Mix)
The first song of the EP, and the title track, Don’t Waste My Time (LA Mix) is a groovy powerhouse. It perfectly blends the energy of rock music, the soul of hard-hitting grooves, and the atmospheric vibe of psychedelic elements into one. What makes this song stand out is the absolutely excellent interplay between the musicians. That is perhaps what gives this song a live energy. It feels more real, organic, and raw, which is the most appealing aspect of this composition.
Get There Before Noon (LA2 Mix)
The second track on this EP, Get There Before Noon (LA2 Mix), is a more intense composition. Its intensity lies in both musicality and lyricism. While it boasts the same kind of energy and vibe as that of the title track of the EP, there is something different about it. This song explores the challenges people face in terms of personal identity. Precisely, the lyrics focus on the tension that arises in the battle between knowing who you are and being dictated to you about who you should be. The musical arrangement and vibe beautifully portray the confusion of this conflict in people’s minds. The melody has an atmospheric quality. There are some groovy synth lines and pulsating bass, on top of which the guitars add psychedelic textures that take this song to a higher level.
