Canadian indie pop singer NYRE’s “It Should Be You” should be your latest playlist addition for some excellent memorable electropop. This Toronto artist brings a dark pop vibe with just the right touch of upbeat energy. It’s got that perfect balance of moody yet happy feels, which makes the track stand out.

From the moment I hit play on “It Should Be You,” I was hooked. The pulsating groove pulls you in right away, and the rhythm in this track is undeniable. You can’t help but bob your head and your body moves to the locking beat. The bassline is fluid with feel, and I couldn’t help but find myself moving along to the pulse. As the song progresses the added layers keep making the song sonically richer, ending the song on a crescendo. Some well-written pop here!
The synths are perfectly produced without overpowering the rest of the production. NYRE’s vocals are absolutely captivating. There’s a cool confidence in her voice, which glides effortlessly over the progression, making the song both engaging and emotionally resonant. The proper sparkling of vocal harmonies and the wall-crafted arrangement is quite musically tasty. This is a catchy electronic pop song with controlled energy but infinitely groovy and captivating.
“It Should Be You” is one of those songs that you are gonna play on repeat. Electropop with a groove that’ll get stuck in your head, give this one a listen. Hoping to hear more smooth pop from NYRE!
