Hidden Shores is a Belgium-based solo experimental project of a day-time elementary teacher and night-time producer who creates magic with sounds. Her music project is unlike any other as it masterfully blends human emotion with AI brilliance to create modern, innovative musicality. Hidden Shores shines through because of its genre fluidity that switches between and sometimes blends electronica and rock with ambient, cinematic textures to create something altogether refreshing. With an atmospheric storytelling that explores themes of memory, nostalgia, and a modern spirit, Hidden Shores stirs the soul with some introspective lyricism.
Recently, Hidden Shores released an album called ‘Echo Genesis”- a 23-track sonic journal of vivid emotions and feelings that feels like an immersive diary that sometimes feels overwhelming and other times, simply therapeutic. The constant tussle between organic instrumentality and digital textures gives the tracks an otherworldly appeal. Starting with enveloping soaring numbers with soothing melodies but extravagant vocals, and then switching to rock-anthem energy and then finally to some sombre introspection, the album spans a wide range of emotions. Despite the presence of digital nuances, the album sounds strikingly soft and human. The intensity with which the lyrics explore various themes, the songs feel fragile, tender, and exceedingly nuanced. The album opener, “Free Falling”, sets off the emotional tension right away, establishing a firm but relaxed tone for the storm that follows. The stunning vocals feel liberating to the senses with the kind of sentimental weight that feels unreal.

“Breath Between the Words” is one of the most ambient, atmospheric numbers that thrives on glorious progression, that settles into the mind like a slow poison and leaves you with a feeling of utter satisfaction. “War for Nothing” and “Lost in the Battle” are other songs that explore a sense of isolation, the duality of first fighting and then feeling the sense of loss that follows. While the “Soul of My Heart” is one of the most emotionally stirring pieces that simply astonishes you because of its melodic and lyrical depth.
