Nobel Prize-winning poet Louise Glück in her poem Nostos said, “We look at the world once, in childhood. The rest is memory”. Berlin-based singer-songwriter Noops in her latest song, “Listen Kid” reminisces the world she had created in her childhood, for her inner child to go back to whenever life gets tough while adulting. “Listen Kid” is like a memory tag, that takes the listeners on a joyride down the bylanes of an incredible world called childhood.

The songwriting style of Noopur is utterly simple which makes it very relatable. Lines that say, “I want a happy life that makes me sleep at night”. It’s a sweet poem that feels like an ode to those unforgettable moments which many of us have had the opportunity to live. The melody is soothing and the tune with the words, “listen to me kid” keeps looping in the head even after the song has ended. Vocal & guitar is by Noopur, while piano, bass and production is by Alexander.
