Yolo, Deep Dive Species’ first track from their 2022 album Aquaphilia is a fine example of sheer compositional brilliance as an introducing track of an album and once you listen to it, you cannot help but dog the album in its entirety. Going on for a very short duration of about two minutes and fifteen seconds, the song seems to start and end in just a blink of an eye. The live sonic triggers paired with chordal movements on the guitar take good care of the foreground on top of the groovy electronic ambient rhythm section filled up by the tight beats, this track is nothing short of prolific musical and compositional artistry.
