Geminy – Hesitation | Luscious

Geminy is an ardent recording artist who is known for his fine musical blends of “smooth jazz” and “raspy rock”. His infusion is both a traditional affair and contemporary tasting, thanks to his ingenuity as an artist. With authentic back-to-back numbers, Geminy has been making quite a mark for himself in the industry.

Geminy’s recent release is a song called Hesitation. It is a song with a superb flow and exotic energy. With freshness like that of a tropical summer breeze and an amazing soft-flowing pace, Hesitation is a song for those who love good music to relax to. As soon as the song begins, you would be surprised by the mellifluous texture that invades the space around you and puts you at ease, almost immediately. The best part comes in when the song progresses to its chorus, but then you are equally impressed by all the other parts too because they are simply too good to be real. With a whole new exotic vibe, Hesitation easily makes for a mood-lifter track.

Hesitation has been sung beautifully. The amazing and softly flowing vocals enhance the vibe of the track even more. You would want to listen to this track on repeat to make sure you don’t miss out on anything!

With great lyrics, outstanding musicality, and awesome production, Hesitation makes for a track worth listening to! Make sure you don’t miss out on this one. Now, let’s hear what the artist has to say about the song himself!

1. What was your inspiration behind creating Hesitation? Is there

something special that motivated you?

Writing Hesitation was super fun, and honestly really quick. The second I heard the instrumental from Tuomo and Tommi of BigBadBeats, the song wrote itself. I think it took an hour maybe to write the lyrics and I spent so much time dancing in the studio that it felt like I was only in there for a minute or two. The song itself is continuing, or more so starting, the story of the eventual album “Victoria’s Secret.” Hesitation is littered with angsty teen spirit. The juvenile attempts to impress a crush in grade school; the conflicting mix of excitement of what can be and fear of it never makes those dreams reality. But because it’s placed in those cupcake stages of the romance it still feels very pure, despite the house party brawl it’s centred around there’s no real toxicity yet. Just a bunch of drunk underclassmen doing crazy things in hopes of making sparks fly. It’s embarrassing, you wouldn’t catch me dead acting like that over a girl now, but it was a fun start to a wild adventure

2. Tell us a little about your creative process? How does the process of making a song look for you?

The creative process is always interesting. Sometimes it takes an hour or two, others it takes a few days. The biggest thing is just catching that feeling, and the story is there. Obviously, melodically my classical background plays a big part in my decisions. But, lyrical it’s just what speaks to me. Fortunately, I’ve had a life filled with adventures and wild stories so there’s a lot to pull from, but whatever story fits the beat is what’s coming out. Basically, it’s a lot of improvs and pulling on what I was taught.

3. What is that one thing you strive for to maintain in every song you

create? Is there something you can’t do without?

With all the different inspirations and genres I pull from when creating, it’s actually really hard to pinpoint a consistency between every song. When you’re blending so many ingredients together there’s no fixed recette to reaching that perfect balance. But I do strive to leave hints of “poetic justice” in the lyrics. My current favourite is the Rip current hypotaxis in the second half of the chorus in Hesitation. It’s like ear candy in a way: easy to miss but if you catch it, it really elevates the mix.

4. What are your biggest lessons so far as a musician?

Hard question, there’s definitely been a lot of learning experiences over the years, especially when it comes to singing, in general, was a long road to get my voice where it is and still so much more to learn. But I’d say the biggest thing is probably just taking deeper breaths and relaxing. In everything really. It seems counterintuitive but the best results come when you’re relaxed. So, whether it’s just allowing myself to trust the decisions of my team and not get stuck in perfectionism, not stressing the numbers and letting the music grow naturally, or literally just remembering to breathe while recording and performing, I’d say that’s the biggest lesson. Because, you wouldn’t think it’s the case, but when you’re juggling all these different components it’s really easy to forget to breathe.

5. Define your music. What makes your music stand out?

I always strive to keep everything real. Everything I’m sharing comes from a very real experience and the stories behind the music could definitely stand on their own in a book. But I hope it stands that the biggest thing that defines my music is the versatility. Vocally I’m allowed the space to utilize grit, a jazzy run, r&b sultry, etc. and it really free’s me to express a lot of emotional content that I think otherwise is restricted by the genre.
