KIA is a one-of-a-kind musician with a beautiful vibe and distinct tonality that deserves to be appreciated. You’ve probably figured out her level of talent by now!
‘Beat the Blue’, a song by KIA performed at a live recording session is an entry for NPR TINY DESK CONTEST 2022. This song depicts that fleeting moment when everything simply falls into place and life isn’t so dreadful after all. The vocals, combined with the upbeat instrumentals, make this track extremely addictive to listen to. The band members’ unique contributions (tenor saxophone, trombone, keys, guitar, bass, and drums) perfectly complement each other. You can tell how much the whole band enjoys this track while you are listening. I would like to appreciate the fact that this song is a live recording which is flawless! BRB currently vibing to “I just need my coffee in the morning to beat the blue!”
