SØ is a Philadelphia-based, alternative producer. Having worked with various artists to produce a large number of tracks, SØ has collaborated with Odaye to create That’s Wild. He has worked with the likes of Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, Travis Scott and Kodak Black. His experience in the industry has definitely helped him curate a brilliant repertoire.
That’s Wild is a very mellow, alternative R&B track that goes really hard. Odaye and SØ have created a track with the dreamy atmosphere of songs like Passionfruit and What Are You So Afraid Of? I love how this track uses claps as percussion to introduce the beat. This track is so well-produced. The spacing between elements and the overall mix is so clean. Moreover, the vocals are super clear and smooth, but they don’t take away from the rest of the track. The Synthwave really takes over when you get to the bridge. I normally dislike quantized Jazz instruments like the saxophone, but it came out really well on That’s Wild.
SØ has the producer’s ear for a good R&B track. His ability to create a soundscape that match the vocals on the track go beyond any average producer’s. However, I’d definitely like to hear more of his music considering only a couple are available on Spotify. Moreover, he’s got what it takes to create his own label and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear more artists collaborating with him and soon!

I listen to and make silly noises while analysing why people behave the way they do.
